This policy explains what ShinePoint collects, why, and your choices.
What we collect
Account details (name, email, phone), profile info you add (photo, bio, vehicle), booking details (address, service, schedule), photos taken during jobs (before/after and damage documentation), messages sent in-app, and payment metadata handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
How we use it
To run the marketplace — match you with detailers, show your location on the map, process payments, document jobs, resolve disputes, and send service notifications. We do not sell your personal data.
Who can see it
Your detailer sees what's needed to do the job (name, address at arrival, vehicle, photos). Admins can review bookings, photos, and disputes for safety and support. Service providers like Supabase (hosting/storage), Stripe (payments), and Mapbox (maps) process data on our behalf.
Photos & storage
Profile and job photos are stored in our hosting provider's storage. Job photos are tied to the booking and visible to that booking's parties and admins.
Your choices
You can edit or remove your profile photo and details in Account settings. From the same "Danger zone" you can deactivate your account (hidden and paused, undone by simply logging back in) or delete it permanently (erases your data for good; blocked while a booking or payout is still unresolved). We ask for your device location to center the map near you; your last known location is cached on your device (not our servers) so you aren’t asked again every time you open the app, and clearing your browser/app data removes it.
SMS & phone number use
If you opt in to text updates, we use your phone number only to send you a reminder before your appointment and a link to track your detailer in real time, via our messaging provider (Sent). No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text STOP to any message to opt out, or turn it off anytime in Account settings.
Security
We use industry-standard measures and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
